Jonsland Pedigree Blue Texel Sheep

In 2006 we bought two pure bred Pedigree Blue Texel ewes to start a new flock of Blue Texel Pedigree Sheep. The emphasis on good conformation and tight skins with the correct markings.

We bought a yearling ewe from D.G. Jones & M.H. Jones from the Dulas flock. She was 1st prize Shearling Ewe at the NSA Sheep sale at Builth Wells September 2006.

We also bought a two year old ewe from Mr Dennis Davies Marteg flock at his dispersal sale September 2006. She was the mother of the ram lamb (Jonsland - UK-701568-4701-N) below that was Champion overall Blue Texel at the Royal Welsh Show 2007.

In 2008 we bought four Blue Texel in lamb Shearling Ewes from David and Jennifer Alexander (Millside flock)

The Royal Welsh Show

We had a very good Royal Welsh Show (2011). Jonsland Rainbow a 2-shear ewe won a very strong class of ewes. She was Female and Overall Reserve Champion. She won as a Ewe Lamb and was Reserve overall Female Champion 2009. She is a classy ewe by Jonsland Dan who was Champion as a Ram Lamb at the Royal Welsh in 2007 and was later purchased by the Millside Flock.

Jonsland Sid was 2nd in Ram Class. Jonsland Tyson was 2nd Ram Lamb Class. Jonsland Tulip was 2nd Ewe Lamb Class.

We won the Group with Jonsland Sid, Rainbow and Tulip.

Beili Blues Shaun was bought privately from Dylan and Bethan Jones September 2010. He was First Prize Ram Lamb at The Royal Welsh Show 2010. He's a long tight skinned ram with tremendous presence, a good back end and the right markings.

The NSA Sheep Sale at Builth Wells September 2009

We bought one Yearling Ewe and a Ram at the NSA Sheep sale at Builth Wells September 2009. The Ram was first prize Shearling Ram and overall Champion Blue Texel and the Ewe was first prize yearling ewe and Reserve Champion overall Blue Texel at the sale. Both sheep were bought from David and Jennifer Alexander (Millside flock)
